Great show in the final of ice hockey with Usa that beated Canada (7-3) after a hard match. Canada signed first, but soon Usa took the game on his hand and went to bring the gold medal in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Third place for Russia against Finland with result 5-1 for Russia.

Great succes for the Closing ceremony in Chiavenna. After the hockey final between USA and Canada (7-3 for United States of America), started the show: dance, lights and greetings. “This event is a great victory for us. Italy won with FSSI (Federation of Deaf Sports of Italy) - declares the President of the Organizing Committee, Piero Samueli - It was difficult to organize Winter Deaflympics but we are happy, we won. Many thanks to Madesimo, Santa Caterina, Chiesa Valmalenco, Sondrio and Chiavenna. Thanks to the people close to us and to these wonderful mountains. We will go home with a positive spirit". The President of the FSSI (Italian Deaf Sports Federation), Guido Zanecchia, was also happy: “Here I found a great collaboration, a wonderful feeling: we are proud about it. I hope we will come back. I was surprised by the welcome received and I would like to thank the mayors of all the cities that hosted us. Merry Christmas to all". Very excited Kang Chen, ICSD President: "I'm sad because I have to close this edition of Winter Deaflympics but we will not stop: we are already working for the next event. The olympic flame was turned off but it will burn forever in our hearts".

Curling, China is the Champion in both competitions
Today, in Madesimo, Curling assigned the medals. China has dominated the competition, winning the gold medal both with men and women. Russia had to be satisfied by the silver medal in both finals, even if the two matches has been fought. Women's final finished 9-8, while men's final is ended 6-5. For third place, the femal team of Korea won the bronze medal against Croazia (13-7) while the male team of Finalndia beated Polonia (11-3) and went on the lowest step of th podium.
