Giacomo Pierbon won the fifth gold medal of his Winter Deaflympics in slalom
The italian skier is in a magic moment: nobody had ever achieve a similar goal in the world of men’s alpine skiing: at the Olympics Games, at the Deaflympics and Paralympic Games too. Pierbon, after downhill, super g, combined and giant, won slalom too with 1’32”33. Nicolas Sarremejane (1’33”59) won the silver and Pavel Kazarov, from Russia, the bronze (1’33”71).
